- If you are new to photography, spend some time getting to know your camera settings – aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. Understanding the different settings will give you a lot more control over the quality of your pictures versus leaving it on automatic.
- Photograph the car from angles higher or lower than eye level to get the most flattering angle. We always see cars at eye level in real life, so showing off a different angle will make for an appealing composition.
- Photography during the golden hours. This is the hour after sunrise and the hour after sunset. It is one of the best times to take photographs of anything, and it will make your car look incredible.
- Photograph in different locations. The background image is just as important as the subject. Avoid taking pictures of cars in the same places over and over. Get out of the parking lot and drive to some new exciting locations, such as a beach or national park or interesting street.
