Sad news for car enthusiasts: the 2020 New York International Auto Show has been canceled. The culprit behind this cancellation is, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you were looking forward to attending car shows or auto exhibits this year, you might be out of luck.  So far, car shows (and other auto-related events) are being canceled left and right.  The New York International Auto Show is the most recent to be hit by the wave of COVID-19-induced cancellations.

Organizers announced the devastating cancellation on Friday, May 22, 2020.  Though the news didn’t really come as much of a surprise.  Ending the announcement on a positive note, organizers stated that they’re already planning for the 2021 New York International Auto Show, which will take place on March 31, 2021.
