Do you have a passion for car photography? If you have ever wanted to turn your hobby into an income stream, it is absolutely possible. Car photography is a growing field, but you may not know how to find clients at first.
A car enthusiast at heart, Jason Grzesik translates his hobby into the form of photography. For years he has enjoyed documenting the excitement of car culture through his own lens. Today he shares tips for finding clients as a car photographer.
- Put your work online. Most artists and photographers have portfolios of their work on their own websites, and you should be no different! Create your own website that people can visit in order to see your work. Upload a portfolio of your best 15-30 pieces.
- Have a presence on social media. Instagram and Twitter are great places to share work you have done, get it seen by more people, and interact with fans of your photography.
- Print out business cards and take them with you to car meet-ups. Instead of just walking around and photographing cars there, start conversations with people. Give them your business card and ask if they would like to have their car photographed at a different location.
