As a photographer, having a website to showcase your photography is so important for getting clients. Not only is it a place to display your work, but it is also your chance to tell the world who you are as a photographer. As you build your website and portfolio, you might be wondering how to actually write an “about me” page.

As a car enthusiast, Jason Grzesik is also an avid car photographer who enjoys documenting the excitement of car culture through his own lens. Today he shares tips for writing an about me page.

  1. Give people the basics. Assume that people coming to your website know nothing about you, so make sure to include your name, the name of your business, and contact information. Include a picture of yourself, or even a video introducing yourself if you want to.
  2. Don’t write a novel. Most people probably won’t take the time to write a full page of text, so try to keep it short and sweet – about one to two paragraphs.
  3. Include some sentences about why you are passionate about photography and what your goals are in your work. People will connect to your work better if they can see your passion behind it.
